MARKET OUTLOOK

The demand for organizational change management talent remains strong! But for how long?

  • Year-to-date we have seen an unprecedentedly strong demand for both contract and employee hire OCM resources.

  • On the contract side, there is consistent demand for OCM support of technology heavy change across industry sectors.

  • On the employee hire side, there has been a trend toward talent with experience building internal OCM capability, Centers of Excellence, etc.

  • Roles are predominantly remote, however, we have seen a surprising number of clients request regular on-site presence, including travel.

  • Despite the fact that the economy is facing strong headwinds from inflation, Fed interest rate hikes, the war in Ukraine, and supply chain constraints, we have yet to see a significant pullback in demand for change management resources.

  • The market for organizational change management talent remains very tight.

  • However, we are bracing for the market to begin to cool as early as 3Q22 and perhaps into the first half of 2023 depending on the economy.
